Claire Freestone

Mandy Ward is a Teacher Governor, and was initially elected by the teaching staff to this post in 2007 and was re-elected in 2010. Qualifying from University with a Bachelor of Education, she now has thirty three years of teaching experience across many schools in Shropshire and Telford and her specialism lies within the Primary age range, especially in Early Years. She also recently gained the National Qualification of Headship.
Mandy first came to Redhill Primary School as Foundation Stage Manager in 2002 and was appointed Deputy Head in 2006. Her mission has been to keep the caring ethos of Redhill School, renowned for its emphasis on the whole child, as it continually grows and becomes a much bigger entity. Her passions include creating engaging learning for all children with a focus on creativity, spirituality, historical research and the outdoor environment. Her personal interests include house restoration, gardening and dog walking!Mandy supports and challenges the Governors to make decisions which are the most appropriate for Redhill children and all its parents and staff. She brings commitment and experience to her post as Teacher Governor and feels very honoured to be part of this facet of the leadership and management of Redhill Primary School.
