E-Safety

At redhill one of our Computing aims  is to develop the children's understanding of how digital systems work and for them to become digitally literate individuals. We know that the children will need educating in the use of the internet to be able to do this. With new technologies emerging daily and the need to communicate online through use of blogging, social nteworking and gaming, we know that the children will need to be taught how to behave on line. The breadth of issues classified within e-safety is considerable, but can be categorised into three areas of risk

content: being exposed to illegal, inappropriate or harmful material

contact: being subjected to harmful online interaction with other users

conduct: personal online behaviour that increases the likelihood of, or causes, harm

Our computing scheme of work educates children from nursery through to year 6.

If you have any concerns with E-safety/Awareness, please get in touch with your child's teacher.
